Fill My Freezer

Nourishing the mother, one meal at a time.

Pregnancy and birth is requires tremendous energy. Oftentimes we focus on nourishing our body whilst pregnant, and then not give so much consideration as to how and what to eat after birth. Yet we continue to nourish our babies outside our body for months after birth!

Pregnancy, birth and the postpartum months ask so much of a mother's body. Yet while we often focus on nourishment during pregnancy, the weeks and months after birth deserve just as much care.

Postpartum is a time of profound recovery, healing and replenishment.

Your body is repairing tissue, replenishing nutrient stores and adapting to the needs of your newborn. If you're breastfeeding, your body also requires additional energy and nutrients to support milk production.

Nourishment during this time is not a luxury. It is a fundamental part of postpartum care.

Postpartum mothers physiology requires foods that are nutrient-dense, warming, and easy to digest. This reflects generations of postpartum wisdom across cultures, where mothers have traditionally been cared for, fed and encouraged to rest.

Yet in modern motherhood, this care is so often missing.

After the enormous work of birth, a mother may be offered little more than toast or cereal. Once home, she's often expected to resume the responsibilities of feeding herself and her family.

But the early postpartum weeks are a time for rest, recovery, bonding with her baby and finding her feet in motherhood — not carrying the additional load of meal planning and cooking.

This is why I created Fill My Freezer.

A nourishing, in-home meal preparation offering designed to support you as you prepare for birth or navigate the sacred months of postpartum.

I'll step into your kitchen and prepare wholesome meals and snacks, thoughtfully chosen for your needs, ready to warm and enjoy when you need them.

Because mothers deserve to be nourished, too. 🤎

How It Works

1. Choose your nourishing menu

Together, we'll select approximately three meals and one snack from my thoughtfully curated postpartum menu.

Think slow-cooked stews, warming soups, nourishing meals and wholesome snacks.

We'll consider your preferences, dietary needs and the cooking time available. The number of dishes and portions will vary depending on your selections.

2. I'll prepare your shopping list

I'll provide a consolidated shopping list for you to gather the ingredients ahead of our session.

Prefer to leave the shopping to me? Grocery shopping can be arranged for an additional $60.

I'll bring selected specialty pantry ingredients and additional cooking equipment where needed.

3. I'll step into your kitchen and cook

I'll spend approximately four hours in your home preparing your meals and snacks, taking care of the cooking, portioning, labelling and kitchen clean-up.

You can focus on resting, preparing for your baby or simply enjoying some breathing space.

4. Your freezer is filled with nourishment

Your meals will be prepared for freezer storage, with simple storage and reheating guidance.

You may also discover a few little words of encouragement among your meals — gentle reminders that you deserve care and nourishment, too.

You'll receive my Nourishing Mothers with Food e-book, with further inspiration for your postpartum nourishment.
